This flat tulip flower is one of the quickest origami models there is. Paint bright petals and make a whole garden.
- Difficulty (estimate)
- Very easy
- Time (estimate)
- about 3 minutes
- Materials
- One square of paper, 15 × 15 cm (6 × 6 in), in a flower color. Optional: a green square or paper straw for the stem.
-
1. Turn the square so it looks like a diamond. Fold the top corner down to the bottom corner to make a triangle.
-
2. Fold the triangle in half side to side, then unfold it.
Tip: This crease helps you keep both petals the same.
-
3. Fold the right corner up at an angle so its tip sticks up above the top edge.
-
4. Do the same with the left corner.
-
5. Turn it over.
Tip: You can fold the side corners in a little to make the flower rounder.
Cut-out crease pattern
Cut along the solid line. Dashed creases are valleys. Dotted creases are mountains.
